Musim Perletakan Jawatan
Hari ni kecoh dlm inbox mail pasal orang2 yang dilantik menerajui Mapsa sibuk nak letak jawatan (orang2 tu termasuklah aku!!) ISH..memanglah..rase nak pelangkung je sapa yang gatal undi aku.. Bukan apa, memang bagus ada persatuan, tapi bab2 siapa nak pegang jawatan,walaupun dibuat secara undian, kenalah ikut sukati tuan punye badan..pegang jawatan ni kena sukarela, bukan paksa-rela.. lain lah utk misi2 kritikal contohnya mcm menerajui negara atau yg sewaktu dengannya. So, berbalik kpd cerita letak2 jawatan tadi, sebenarnya dan seeloknya kasilah peluang kpd kami2 yang senior ni utk menumpukan perhatian pada pelajaran..maklumlah tak lama lagi nak masuk finl year (adoi seramnya!!!) maka sedar2lah diri tu.. so, mmg patutlah dan sesssuaailah bagi yg junior pulak pegang jawatan mapsa tu.. sedangkan dlm agama pun takde paksaan, apatah lagi ni pulak dalam persatuan yg tak seberapa mcm.. (erm paham2 la). Simpati jugak kat presiden baru, dok sibuk nak pulun provisional dah kena suruh buat meeting cepat2.. sabarlah ye tuan presiden baru! Ape2pun, pada pendapat saya, tak payahlah kecoh2 sgt psl persatuan ni, sbb tujuan dtg sini pun nak belajar..hal2 lain yg tak berkenaan tu boleh letak ke tepi dulu, hidup ni kena ada priority!

Auntie Ema, sorry but i don't agree. he.he.
This is simply the same reason why most Malaysian student nowadays stuck in between the so-called academic life and dilemma for not being involved in various societies. Not being judgemental, but don't you see how students that are actively involved in various societies might actually tend to possess excellent oratory and soft skills? While obviously as postgrad we thought we can simply ignore this fact rather than being undergrads but don't you think we should at least lead by example?
Well..we (the MAPSA) are not that aggressive anyway in our activities, so why should we that bother of taking the little step, show our concern as seniors and lead the malaysian's student society on this thing? insyAllah ada hikmah, pengalaman hidup, ukhuwwah sesama kita dan ilmu yang bakal digilap along the way.
p/s: but i do understand all the difficulties lies ahead, thank God nobody suggested my name! huhu

Amboi2 auni pandai cakap skang ni nnt auntie ema suggest kat presiden baru suh auni jadik secretary baru! hahaaa :-))
Of course la my dear, I don't deny the fact that it's important to have a balance of curricular activities despite the academic life. The point is that one should be able to identify whether or not he/she is in the position to accept the responsibilities aka amanah for the particular task. It would be great though to give the chance to the youngsters to lead, to give them experience and as you said, would somehow help them to improve their soft skills! I think, I'm not in the position to take up any post here as I am tired too (ehek!) speaking from experience in managing a small department in a Univ. (bukan nak belagak ye!) , not mentioning other admin. & academic duties- ah tough jobs, but well the experiences were truly priceless!. Dont get me wrong, I dont mean to ignore the importance of having Mapsa, what I am saying was that there shouldn't be any strict enforcement in Mapsa if one was not ready to commit (for any valid reason).

Morale of the story: Lenkali klu takmau kena, buatla rayuan siang2: "tolongla jangan undi saya" ;P
